The building is located in the center of Hua Hin, hidden down a private alley. The owner wanted to convert the existing open plan 2 storey home into a guest house.  DCBT prepared several alternate layouts combining a balance of varying room sizes, use of en-suite and common bathrooms and common recreation area.  The final arrangement optimized the number of rentable rooms while maintaining comfortable room sizes.

The internal floor and ceiling were gutted to expose the old teak structure. The whole interior was faced in gypsum plaster board to give a more modern living feel. New floors and ceilings added to the modernization.
